About Stuart Kerr Spindlow
I’m Stuart Kerr Spindlow, the founder of StuartKerrs.com.
This site exists to publish independent, experience-led reviews and comparisons of digital marketing software, tools, and platforms; without hype, sales pressure, or agency bias.
My Background
I’ve spent over two decades working with digital systems, data, and online platforms.
My career began in banking and finance, where I worked in IT, risk management, and analytics with institutions including BNP Paribas, Abbey National Treasury, and Norinchukin Bank. Those years shaped how I think: structured analysis, risk awareness, and decisions based on data rather than opinion.
In 2012, I moved full-time into digital marketing and online platforms. Over the years, I’ve worked hands-on with a wide range of technologies across hosting, websites, analytics, SEO, paid advertising, automation, and affiliate-driven business models.
That long-term exposure is what informs the content on this site today.
Why This Site Exists
StuartKerrs.com is not an agency, consultancy, or service business.
I created this site to:
- Test and evaluate digital marketing software objectively
- Compare tools honestly, including their limitations
- Explain trade-offs clearly, without vendor influence
- Help readers choose tools that fit their actual needs
I’ve seen first-hand how confusing and sales-driven software recommendations can be. This site is my attempt to bring clarity, context, and real-world judgement into that space.
My Core Values
Everything published on this site follows these six principles. No buzzwords. No hype. Just clear, experience-led judgement.
Value
I focus on value in the only way that matters: how well a tool performs for its intended use case over time. That includes pricing, limitations, upgrade pressure, and whether the features actually justify the cost.
Honesty
Transparency is non-negotiable. I point out weaknesses, trade-offs, and deal-breakers; even when a tool is popular or commercially attractive. If something is overhyped, overpriced, or poorly suited to most users, I say so clearly.
Knowledge
My reviews are shaped by long-term exposure to digital platforms, not surface-level summaries. I’ve worked with hosting environments, website builders, analytics tools, marketing platforms, and automation software across real projects and real constraints. That context matters when judging what actually works.
Language
I avoid jargon, buzzwords, and vendor marketing speak. Complex software decisions are broken down into clear, practical explanations, so readers can quickly understand what a tool does, where it fits, and whether it’s worth their time.
Advice
Every recommendation is framed around fit, not hype. My goal is to help you understand: when a tool makes sense, when it doesn’t and what alternatives may be a better match. That way, you can choose confidently; not reactively.
Research
Every article is backed by testing, comparison, documentation review, and ongoing updates. I track pricing changes, feature shifts, and platform direction over time; not just what looks good on a launch page. This helps avoid tools that appear strong today but fail in practice later.
How I Approach Reviews
I don’t rely on press releases, awards, or marketing claims.
Every review and comparison is grounded in:
- Hands-on testing where possible
- Practical understanding of how tools are actually used
- Long-term experience across multiple platforms and ecosystems
- Clear explanations of who a tool is and isn’t suited for
You can read more about this on the How I Test Software page.
Independence and Transparency
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission if you choose to purchase through them.
This does not affect how tools are reviewed, ranked, or recommended.
I do not:
- Accept payment for positive reviews
- Guarantee rankings to vendors
- Adjust conclusions based on commission rates
Editorial independence is a core principle of this site.
What You Will (and Won’t) Find Here
You will find:
- Software reviews and comparisons
- “Best for” recommendations by use case
- Honest assessments of strengths and weaknesses
- Regularly updated content as tools evolve
You will not find:
- Agency pitches
- Consultancy services
- Sales calls or discovery sessions
- Inflated claims or fake urgency
Outside the Reviews
When I’m not researching software or updating content, I spend time with family, train regularly, and enjoy history and technology deep-dives. Those interests have a habit of shaping how I think about systems, incentives, and long-term value; all of which show up in my work.
Final Word
Trust is earned over time.
Everything published on StuartKerrs.com is written with the intention of helping readers make informed, confident decisions, based on experience, transparency, and clarity; not sales tactics.
